I had my yearly mammogram last Tuesday. I got called to go back because the radiologist saw something. I had to wait a week to get another appt because call backs are only done on certain days! I went on Wed. and had about 10 slides taken and then the doc read them and they took about 10 more. Then they came in and told me that I had to have an ultrasound. They did that and the doc came in and he took over doing the ultrasound. He told me that he wanted me to go and talk to the surgeon because there was a definite growth/tumor in my breast. I went to see a new surgeon in the hospital because my surgeon was deployed, he is also in the military. I just loved the surgeon I saw. He said that he was ordering another mammogram (Yikes, my boob feels like a piece of raw meat), and an ultrasound guided biopsy, and a stereotactic biopsy. So I went back yesterday and had more mammogram slides taken and then the ultrasound biopsy done by a radiologist. She then said she definitely saw a growth and she couldn’t get a good enough view of it because it was deep! They had told me that it was a half inch across on the top but they could see that it went in deep. I then had the stereotactic biopsy done, I hate that procedure. You lie on top of a high table and your boob hangs down and you can’t see anything they are doing. It is like a torture chamber!! I had to use a step ladder to get up on the table. My PD makes everything slow and I told the nurse and the doc and the tech that I have PD. The nurse kept saying to me, you need to move up more and I said to her, I am trying, my brain doesn’t always allow my body to move the way I want it too. She just ignored what I said and kept saying to me, you need to scoot up. I just ignored her until the doc came in and I said to her, I have PD, I am doing my best to move up on the table. The radiologist doc said to me nicely, I saw you walking, I would never have thought you had PD! I told her that my biggest problem was moving my body. The surgeon told me that he would call me possible Fri afternoon but most likely on Monday due to the July 4th holiday! He called me today and said…”I am shocked but I have good news for you, we all thought it would be different news. Your tumor/growth is benign. I don’t like that it has tentacles growing on it but we will watch it and take another mammo in 3 months and if it has grown at all, it will have to be removed!” I was so glad!! I definitely thought I would be having surgery one day next week!! I only told my sister and a few close friends because I was hoping there wouldn’t be much to tell in the long run!!
I have not been sleeping well for the past week because of all the breast issues and that throws off my PD. I have been so off balance but now I hope that will all change for the better!! Today I trimmed all of the bushes out front, they had grown wild! Olya came out and helped me trim them!
My daughter Olya got her first car. It is a Nissan Star Wars Edition car. Who knew that Nissan had a Star Wars Edition car?? It is a 2017 car and Olya is thrilled. We gave her a few thousand dollars towards the car and she paid most of the amount! Dan got her an extra warranty package because we had gotten that for Olivia last year! Olya is just thrilled with her car!! She got it yesterday and brought it home to show me before she went over to show Renee and Adam! I just love her car!!
My butterfly bushes are blooming and attracting lots of butterflies. I love the bushes, they remind me of my beloved deceased daughter Amy and my friend Priscilla’s daughter Krissy! Whenever I see two butterflies flying together, I think About Amy and Krissy.
I found these really cool wind up paper butterflies that I decided to purchase on Amazon. I think I ordered 25 and sent them to my friends and relatives. I put them in a card in an envelope. When they opened the card, the butterfly popped up and flew a little!! I had the greatest responses ever. They really made me laugh!! It is so very true, that the more you do for people, the more you get. These responses so cheered me up during this extremely stressful week in my life. Who could NOT love having friends like mine?? Thank you friends!! I got wonderful phone calls and messages and emails!
Good Morning Colleen,

Hi Colleen,
The butterfly that arrived in today's mail was really a fun surprise!
You come up with such good ideas to brighten our days during this crazy
time--I really appreciate what you do for so many of us-- you are a good
person! Thanks for making both of us smile. Love,
Colleen, you are such a wonderful person! To be your friend is one of the great joys of my life. Thank you so much for your card and the butterfly! Your kindness and thoughtfulness, in this harsh world we live in, never cease to amaze and to move me. This struggling planet definitely needs more people just like you.
Thank you for the butterfly in the mail! It was a nice surprise. I also wanted to thank you again for the beautiful purple petunias. They are blooming profusely!
Maybe this will give you a giggle. I nearly had a heart attack when I was attacked by your beautiful butterfly. Thank you for bringing me smiles and joy.
I just got your great card Colleen! Thank you so much-you really made me smile! I do not know when we can get together again-but friends like you are always there! I am amazed with what is going on-I am careful because I have a damaged immune system from my M.S. I hope you are feeling well. Say Hi to your family for me. I hope to see you soon-love,
Even though her own plate is overflowing, she still takes the time to think/care for others. I opened your note and out flew a butterfly. Seriously almost had a heart attack (not a real one, relax everybody). Lol. I love you! XOXO
